O2Face

  • Q: What is O2Face? How to get O2Face?
  • A: O2Face is a facial recognition software that provides convenient and secure Windows system protection. A 30-day free trial version is available on our company website.
  • Q: What is Fast User Switch?
  • A: When recognizing one's face, the system will switch to his/her account automatically. The user can set up the facial detection time, such as 15 seconds, 30 seconds, 60 seconds etc.

Installation

  • Q: After installation, why isn't there a Face shortcut icon on the desktop?
  • A: The shortcut can be added only if you check the "Add Desktop Shortcut" item during installation. Otherwise, you can only open O2Face from Start Menu -> O2Face Manager, or O2Face system tray icon.
  • Q: Why must O2Face be activated?
  • A: If not activated, O2Face is only a 30-day free trial version. It has to be activated for normal and long-term use. A valid license can be bought from our company website.
  • Q: How to register a face template for the first time?
  • A: When O2Face is installed, please double-click the O2Face shortcut or O2Face system tray icon to register the first face template.

Windows Logon

  • Q: What is No-Touch Logon?
  • A: To automatically run facial authentication interface when logon to Windows.
  • Q: What is Live Detection?
  • A: When Live Detection is enabled, users must blink eyes to pass through facial recognition.
  • Q: When logon, why does it say "Failed to connect camera" ?
  • A: The problem MAY be caused by:
    1. No web camera is plugged in. Please plug in web camera;
    2. The driver for web camera is not installed properly. Please re-install its driver;
    3. Web camera is occupied by other programs. Please close other programs, and click the re-connection button.
  • Q: When logon, why doesn't O2Face connect to camera automatically?
  • A: Check the "No-Touch-Logon" item during O2Face setup, and thus O2Face will automatically connect to camera when logon to the system.
  • Q: Why can't I logon via O2Face authentication if I have modified Windows account?
  • A: O2Face cannot automatically update user's Windows account. Please click the edit account button to update Windows account for O2Face.
  • Q: Why did the camera automatically shut down after successful logon to Windows?
  • A: It is a way to save power. If user cannot pass facial authentication for a long time, O2Face will automatically close the authentication screen to save power. It is especially useful for laptop users.
  • Q: Why the facial authentication icon doesn't pop up when logon?
  • A: Please go to O2Face setup and check the "Facial Authentication" item to enable the function.
  • Q: Why does the software prompt to update facial template when passed through facial authentication?
  • A: One key feature of O2Face is automatic update of facial template. When images cannot be recognized during Windows logon, O2Face will capture them and offer to update them into facial templates. User can un-check the item 'Disable when face authentication succeeds' to disable this function.

Face Management

  • Q: Why can't I add more pictures to the template?
  • A: One facial template can store a maximum of 20 pictures. You can delete those not-so-clear images, and free some space for better ones.
  • Q: I have enabled facial detection but why doesn't it work?
  • A: Facial detection can be enabled after user passes through facial authentication. If you use account ID and password to logon Windows, please right-click O2Face system tray icon to run facial authentication.
  • Q: Why can't I add or delete user?
  • A: This function is only for system administrators. Please switch your account and try again.
  • Q: Why does O2Face system tray icon disappear?
  • A: Go to O2Face Manager Setup, and check "Show Icon In System Tray" item.
  • Q: Why is the face recognition accuracy that low?
  • A: Please check your facial template. If the difference among template images varies significantly, the template quality will decrease. Please re-new the template with high-similarity images. Besides, the ambient light and facial expression will affect the accuracy of facial recognition as well.
  • Q: Why does the system regard me as 'Invalid user'?
  • A: Because you are not the current user of the system. Only the logon user can unlock the system.
  • Q: What should I do if I have imported other's template by mistake?
  • A: You can re-import your backup template or re-new your facial template by capturing new images.

SSO

  • Q: What is SSO?
  • A: SSO is the abbreviation of "Single Sign-On", which helps user to record website's logon info, such as username and password. When you access the website, SSO will automatically fill-in the logon info and submit.
  • Q: Why doesn't my SSO work when open a website?
  • A: Please see if you have checked the items of "Disable SSO for this website" or "Disable monitor for websites". Otherwise, it may because the page is not fully downloaded or is using some special technologies. Please open a new IE and try again.
  • Q: Why does my SSO provide logon info only, without automatic submission?
  • A: Please see if you have checked the item of "Don't submit automatically. Only fill in the credential". Cancel the choice and the function will be enabled.
